One Thing Needed (Traditional)
Today in Worship, we continue our sermon series called "Follow Me" as we return to the Gospel of Luke. Through these Scriptures, where we will be exploring what it means for us to faithfully and obediently follow Jesus as he is revealed to us through the gospel of Luke. This week, we will study Luke 10:38-42 and the story of two sisters, Mary and Martha. Martha hosts Jesus and his disciples, serving and living hospitably. Mary sits at Jesus’s feet and is discipled by him. When Jesus says Mary is doing the “one thing needful,” he reminds us that devotion to Jesus must include quiet time in his presence and serving. We must follow Jesus with all of who we are.
