Today in Worship we continue our message series, “Follow Me”, where we will be exploring what it means for us to follow Jesus faithfully and obediently as he is revealed to us through the gospel of Luke. This week we will dive into Jesus’s Sermon on the Plain in Luke 6:17-26 with the “Blessings and the Woes.” Jesus promises throughout his ministry and especially in the Gospel of Luke that God’s Kingdom is bringing a present relief and reversal to the world’s suffering. As we hear the blessings and the woes, we will think together about what it means to join that Kingdom reversal as we follow Jesus.
